Abstract: The 8456X-8T ranks in at 46.5 dB in our acoustic tests, and even with the large 80mm fan this Arkua heatsink is hardly aiming for the performance markets.

An all aluminum heatsink, even with a large fan is not the best option to consider these days. The low noise is nice, but the results are pointing to just average performance.

The final results indicate that the Arkua 8456X-8T exhibits average cooling performance with low noise production. The difference between this heatsink and the stock extruded aluminum heatsink is pretty minimal.

If the Arkua 8456X-8T manages sufficient cooling capability, but similar numbers can be reached with the stock cooler, there isn't much reason to switch is there? Noise levels are kept under control and in that respect the 8456X-8T isn't a bad heatsink by any means. Sure it doesn't really improve on the stock solution by any large degree, but then again it should be economically priced.
