The initial performance numbers on the Globalwin CDK38 are pretty good for its small 60mm footprint. With numbers like this you might be able to use this heatsink in small cases, as long as the airflow to and from the fan is not cut off by errant wires or cables. The fan grill will protect the fan from inhaling a finger or molex connector, but if wires just end up sitting on top of the fan's intake a problem will occur.

The overall performance of the all-copper Globalin CDK38 looks pretty good. With that nice powerful 7000RPM fan all brazed copper fin to copper base construction the heatsink appears to make a very good, and very compact heat exchanger. The weight of the CDK38 is not too bad, but with any pure copper heatsink it is always a smart idea to remove it from the computer during shipping. Since the heatsink uses only on of the sockets clips to attach itself there is a good possibility that a fatigued socket clip could snap off under applied stress.

Noise is an issue with this heatsink, but the main reason it was able to achieve such high thermal scores is because of that fan. The CDK38 may have been originally designed a while ago, as the trend in heatsinks right now dictates that low-noise is the best solution. Still, if you are looking for something small and speedy, the Globalwin CDK38 might just be your ticket to fame.
