Abstract: The TS Heatronics CPU Radiator (SCR325-2F) features Heatlane Technology which is also known as Akachi-pipe (after the inventor) or "meandering capillary tube heat pipe" in its construction.

CPU Radiator From All Angles
The Fan:
I have no idea what the character says, but it does make for a rather cool looking heatsink don't you think? The casing is made from ABS plastic and houses the Akachi-Pipe, and two fans.

Heatsink Top:
With the Akachi-pipe removed from the cooler we can see the leaf spring which keeps tension on the processor. We found this spring to be overly stiff. The two 15mm thick fans are arranged so that one acts as an intake and the other as an exhaust. There is about 3mm of separation between the cooler and the fins when it is installed. The retention mechanism for the cooler also keeps the Akachi-pipe in position.

Side A:
With one fan acting as an intake, and the other acting as an exhaust the CPU Radiator is a bit noisy, but moves a lot of air. Given the large motor on these fans it would be interesting to see a squirrel cage blower driving air through the central portion... If spacers were installed on the inside of the housing it might be possible to attach some high powered 60mm fans on the outside for extra cooling effect (stacked fans wouldn't work well).
Side B:
The revolutionary clip is also the component most people dislike. The hinged design is supposed to enable easy installation, but can cause problems if you don't know what you are doing. While it is made from glass fiber reinforced Nylon66, many people seem to be concerned about breakage. At least the clip attaches to the housing via embedded brass screw points - illustrating the high quality of manufacturing evident. It is 78mm wide at the base and 85mm wide at the top.
Heatsink Base:
It looks like it is going to fall out, and were it not for one clip it would. With the Akachi-pipe in place it is time for a careful installation of the entire unit. The cooler does put a lot of pressure on the processor. Even though the copper slug is very smooth, a little bit of thermal compound should always be applied to ensure the best interface possible. Each of the fans support RPM monitoring and connect directly to the motherboard fan headers (two in total).
