The Fan:
Like the original Thermaltake heatsinks, the TTC-MS2AB uses a frameless fan mounted in a recess cut from within the heatsink extrusion. The fan is ~60mm in diameter and 25mm in height. The 7-bladed fan connects directly to a motherboard fan header for power and includes and RPM sensor for monitoring purposes by the system. Note the spot for a flat headed screw driver to fit in the clip.

Heatsink Top:
With the fan removed from the heatsink one problem is immediately evident. Looking closely at the width of the fins close to the center 35mm dia. solid section we notice that the machining process has distorted the fins. The distortion has cut down on the spacing between the fins in such a way that air from the fan may not be able to move freely over the rest of the heatsinks fins.

Side A:
It almost looks like a Golden Orb from the side, but for the misplaced clip. The clip proved very stiff to engage and near impossible to do by hand. A screw drive is highly recommended. Each of the fins range in height from 17mm to 25mm at the corners. The fins are all ~1mm thick at spaced 3mm at the tips.

Side B:
The TTC-MS2AB looks just about the same from the side as it does from the top. The wires for the fan come out from between the fins.

Heatsink Base:
It is really difficult to understand why anyone would want to finish a base as roughly as this. In any case, the base of the Titan is fairly flat, but not very smooth. The surface looks as though it was prepared for a thermal pad of some sort, rather an thermal paste (which is included with the heatsink!) . Again, note the slits cut from the base plate to aid airflow and cooling.
