CC-DTC-66 Heatsink From All Angles
The Fan:
A standard 60mm fan tops of the DTC-66 and provides it with a low-power source of quiet cooling. The fan draws 0.20A and connects via a 3-pin fan header on the motherboard. The small fan shroud protects the fragile fins and keeps the fan just slightly above the tips.

Heatsink Top:
Each of those copper fins measures ~0.25mm thick and is spaced just over 1mm from the next fin. The fins are held to the base plate by a process known as dip brazing. The gold-anodised fan shroud accepts the screws that hold the fan in place, and above the thin fins.

Side A:
Yes, it's a Delta fan, just not one of those Delta fans. This unit on the DTC-66 is fairly quiet despite its larger size. To properly engage the clasp, a small flat head screw driver is necessary. The tension from the clip is good, and the three locking points make is more secure in that the chances of tipping are lessened.
Side B:
The way the base plate has been machined makes it appear thicker than it really is. The actual thickness is 5-6mm, but the fins fit in an area with small external guides making it appear just a wee bit thicker than it really is. Each of the copper fins is finished with a very smooth surface. locking tabs at the top of each fin keep them very evenly spaced in the heatsink body.
Heatsink Base:
The base finish is very good. The copper base has been machined into its final shape and the accuracy of the tools used is evident. The unit arrived at our labs with a protective piece of paper covering the region where the core of a processor would sit. The surface is very smooth and quite flat.
