The fan is a motor one type of 50x50x15mm dimensions. The specs on it give it a CFM rating of about 13, with 4700RPM. On any other heatsink this would be a might under powered, but considering the K612 is about the same dimensions as its' fan it works out rather well.

The fan is also very quiet, as it moves air through the copper fins which are spaced 2mm apart.

Looking from the side of this ultra-slim heatsink you can really see what we mean by its' small size. The heatsink is about 17mm high without the fan attached, giving it an overall height of about 32mm when installed on a chip.

While the fins are bonded to the 3mm thick copper base, we're not sure if they are soldered or glued in place.

Without the fan attached its a bit easier to see how Neng Tyi assembles their unique fin assemblies into one unit. Small tabs on each section are folded over to create on interlocking unit.

Also note the nice big thumb lever for the clip - it does a good job making clipping very easy to do, and without the need for a screwdriver.

At first glance you might be a bit worried about the base. But despite first impressions the area which makes contact with the processor was perfectly flat.

For our tests we removed the green Bergquist pad, which resulted in roughly 1 degree drop in temperature.

Let's take a look now at how this hybrid copper-aluminum heat sink stood up to the venerable Super Orb on the Frosty Synthetic Temperature Test platform...
