Scythe SCKK1000 Heatsink From All Angles
The Fan:

The fan is 70mm in size, and spins at slower than average RPM of 2850. There is no fan grill to prevent stray wires from entering the blades, and the fan draws power from a 3-pin motherboard fan header that supports RPM monitoring.

Heatsink Top:

With the fan removed we can see better the stacked copper fin array which is soldered to the copper base of this heatsink. The fins are 0.3mm thick, and spaced 1mm apart. Note the two screw holes at either side of the fan shroud which are used to attach it to a socket 754/939 processor retention frame.

Side A:
The fan is supported 10mm above the tips of the copper fins, and vents have been punched into the side of the aluminum shroud to aid in airflow. The base of the heatsink measures 61mm wide, large enough to fit into both AMD and Intel heatsink retention frames.

Side B:
The copper fins stand 32mm tall, 82mm long. The copper base plate is punched out from a sheet of the material to a thickness of 5mm.

Heatsink Base:

The copper base has a sanded finish and is relatively flat. The surface is pretty smooth, but will need to be used with a good thermal compound to get the best results.
