The initial test results on Frosty's Synthetic Temperature Test platform are really good - higher than I'd expected in fact. I think it is safe to say that the Coolermaster Hyper6 KHCV81U1 heatsink is easily going go end up in the performance heatsink section; making it an ideal choice for overclocking both Intel Pentium4 and AMD Athlon64 processors!

At the highest fan speed setting the Coolermaster Hyper6 initially comes in towards the top of this list of reference heatsinks. With the fan RPM set as low as possible, the sound output is only about 7 dBA lower, with temperatures rising by an order of approximately 3 degrees. For the final word, we need to see the rise above ambient temperature results.
