Information on Frostytech's test methodology is available here.

The 80mm PWM fan spins at 3000RPM by default. Small wire clips hold the fan in place, so it is possible to replace the unit with another 80mm fan is desired. A standard 4-pin PWM motherboard header provides power, and is backwards compatible with 3pin connectors. The aluminum fins are 0.37mm thick and the fin pitch is 1.45mm.

Two 6mm diameter sintered wick copper heatpipes thread their way from the aluminum base block towards the outer edges of the Thermolab Nano Silencer TLI-U heatsink. The base block is 7mm thick, the entire heatsink stands just 39mm tall excluding the mounting clips.

The base of the Thermolab Nano Silencer TLI-U is pre-coated with a patch of thermal interface material. It measures 32x30.5mm in size. The two LGA775 mounting clips are firmly attached to the frame of the heatsink.
