360° View - Apack Zerotherm Nirvana 120

The 25x120x120mm fan on the Apack Zerotherm Nirvana 120 heatsink is illuminated with a pair of blue LEDs. Dense foam padding behind the fan motor prevents rattling sounds from occuring between the free standing blower and heatsink fins. Power is supplied by a 3-pin motherboard fan header. The Apack Nirvana 120 heatsink stands 150mm tall, 128mm wide, so it may not fit all cases or motherboards. The entire cooler is nickel plated, giving it a dark glossy surface that picks up fingerprints like mad.

Below the bottom fin of the Apack Zerotherm Nirvana 120 heatsink is 40mm of space for adjacent motherboard components. Four U-shaped 6mm diameter copper heatpipes pass through the aluminum fins, and the entire assembly has been nickel plated. At the base the heatpipes are packed edge-to-edge to ensure good thermal transmission from the 3mm thick copper base plate below. Each aluminum fin is 0.38mm thick and spaced 2.0mm apart from the next. Front to back the Nirvana is 95mm deep.

The side fins really just protect the 120mm fan impeller from errant wires, as they are too far from the heatpipes to be really effective. The fin behind the fan is 60mm deep, and split into three 20mm sections. These are alternatively bent up 10mm and down the same degree, and create a sort of honeycomb pattern when viewed from the edge. The base plate is nickel plated copper, set within an aluminum frame that the mounting brackets attach to with a couple screws. The Nirvana 120's base measures 32x30mm in size, and is 3mm thick on average. It has a very smooth surface thanks to the plating.
