The Heatsink Fan:
When this three-bladed impeller rotates at its full 5500RPM, it is the definition of a 'finger chopper.' The stamped fan grill offers some protection, but the spaces are large enough for fingers to slip between. FrostyTech recommends caution when handling this heatsink while it is running. Noise levels range 42.3 dBA to 68.0dBA. Power comes from a standard molex connector, and a single RPM signal cable supplies data to the motherboard fan header. The fan has a 2-pin thermistor sensor connector and a 2-pin connector for a fan rheostat, both control rotational speed.

Heatsink Top:
The 66 stacked copper fins are soldered to the base of the Polo735. Each fin is 31mm wide by about 39mm high. The fan support has mounting holes for 80mm and 70mm fans, and creates a 5mm plenum above the copper fins to promote more even airflow. A 7mm space down the center of the heatsink accomodates K8/P4 and K7 mounting hardware.

Heatsink Side A:
The copper base of the Thermaltake Polo735 measures 5mm thick. The stacked copper fins are soldered to the copper base plate. Each fin measures ~0.1mm thick and spaced 1.0mm from the next.

Heatsink Side B:
The space at the center of the Thermaltake Polo735 is for the clip mechanism (not installed). To access the space, four small screws are undone to release the blue fan shroud.

Heatsink Base:
The 63x65mm copper base has a sanded finish which translates into a surface roughness of ~32 microinches. The heatsink base is pretty flat, and undercut by 2mm along either side to provide clearance for the Socket A cam arm.
