The initial results are looking alright for this all copper pentium 4 heatsink from Vantec. The question on our mind right now is whether or not the CCK-7025 will be able to pull up from the competition and offer truly stunning levels of cooling performance. In the past we have seen that Vantec make solid heatsinks of a very practical manner, so the CCK-7025 may not be able to meet such high demands. Let's find out!

Well the Vantec CCK-7025 manages to produce comparable results to the stock Intel solution, but isn't quite up the task of offering stiff competition to any of the pentium 4 high-performance coolers like the Alpha PAL 8942 or Coolermaster IHC-H71.

Still, all is not for not. The Vantec CCK-7025 is bound to be a lot easier to get at, and a lot less expensive than many of the other Pentium 4 heatsinks we have in the reference list. That gives the Vantec heatsink a performance lead over the other coolers since Vantec have traditionally had very good distributor support. In any event, The CCK7025 is a fairly good heatsink, but not quite up at the high-performance level. Sound wise, the CCK-7025 should be really tolerable, and will probably get drowned out by the power supply or videocard fans.
