"First off, if you are replacing a defective or inadequate power supply, you
will need to figure out which type of power supply your computer has. The
most sure-fire way to find out is to open up the computer and read the label
on the power supply. It should say somewhere that it is either an "AT power
supply" or an "ATX power supply. If you can't find any identifying marks on
the power supply, there's another easy way to identify it. Simply find the
cables that connect to the motherboard (the main circuit board of your
computer) and see which of these two types you have."
