S3 announced it is partnering with Transmeta on Internet devices running on Transmeta's Crusoe processor. Soon to become a large family of Web appliances from S3, S3/Transmeta devices are targeted for those looking for an "x86 compatible, Linux-based Internet computing solution."
S3 intends to focus on emerging areas such as Digital Audio, Home Networking and Internet Appliances.
