"I think the QNX RTOS is the future of the desktop OS. It makes hardware driver installation as easy as could be, and most of all it's responsive - nobody (especially the average user) likes to see his machine grind to a halt as they load up some gargantuan web browser with more bugs than features. This real-time responsiveness counts double for such things as video games and multimedia creation (most notably video editing and 3d design) software. The modular design allows for easy upgrades, and at the current standard of development, hardware drivers will be almost transparent to the user."
