Quoted from the register: "Given the price/positioning of the 815 and 815E chipsets and the ramp down of the Mendocino processor, combined with customer feedback, it was determined that we would drop Mendocino support in the platform. By dropping support for Mendocino, we are able to refine our 133MHz FSB solution space and increase the robustness of the platform."
