Frostytech is always interested in hearing about new heatsinks, and today we
have a couple samples from Gary Chang, rep for a company called nPowerTek out of Taipei, Taiwan. Frostytech has tested a few nPowertek heatsinks in the past, but like
many other thermal solutions manufacturers, nPowertek are rushing to meet the
increasing demands of LED lighting thermal solutions - for use in architectural
LED lighting and high power public area LED lights.
nPowertek have produced a variety of LED lighting heatsinks with thermal capacities ranging from 10W to 200W.
First up is the companies soldered aluminum interlocking fins and heat column variety. High dissipation area, cooling from 20W - 200W.
Next up are more economical 150mm diameter extruded LED lighting heatsinks. Followed by Npowertek's 120mm diameter exturded LED lighting heatsink series which are simpler design, but are good for cooling from 10W to 150W according to the manufacturer. All of nPowerTek's designs revolve around its proprietory heat pipe and heat columns which range from 25.4mm to 40mm in diameter, and lengths of between 56mm to 400mm!
