“The Enzotech Stealth CPU water block has a design that is apparently inspired by the F-117 Nighthawk jet fighter built with stealth technology. They didn’t just use the Stealth name to represent the quiet operation, but also the aesthetics as well. Fortunately, PureOC’s radar detected the Stealth CPU water block in the hangar and we’re lucky enough to have captured one for review. Today’s mission is to take a tour of this new flagship CPU water block from Enzotech, so strap in flyboy, you’re the wingman for the review.”

AMD Athlon X3435 and X2 240e (LostCircuits)

Quite honestly, there is not that much to think about here. AMD has positioned the "Baby Quads" in a price range that make them affordable for the masses and scaling back to a triple core with all the vagaries involved and compatibility problems with existing software makes those CPUs a relatively poor choice, especially with respect to overall power efficiency. The latter is strictly based on a comparison with for example the '250 or '240e, at the same time, anybody still running a Pentium4 based system will probably need a magnifying glass to find the PC line-item on the energy bill, so it is not really all bad.
The favorite of the day, though is without doubt the '240e. While not being a super-CPU, it is the most energy efficient processor we have found thus far and it has certainly enough horse power for any HTPC while at the same time running at super low power, which translates into super-low heat dissipation, which translates into super low cooling requirements and sums up nicely as a super-quiet device for any living room.
Just what the doctor ordered. Whether the 240e is worth the extra US$17 markup over the regular 240 appears more a marketing question, though.
