Prolimatech, founded in 2008 is headquartered in Taiwan and has just one CPU cooler currently available - the Prolimatech Megahalems heatsink. In the last week Frostytech has been flooded with review requests of this particular heatsink by cooling enthusiasts who swear it's the next best thing to sliced bread.
What (potentially) makes the Prolimatech Megahalems heatsink stand out? The fins are split down the middle which the manufacturer claims minimizes air resistance and reduces noise with fans that operate in the range of 800-1200RPM. It makes use of six 6mm diameter heatpipes lined up in a row along either side of aluminum cooling fins "mathematically calculated.... to maximize best air-to-surface cooling rate". The Prolimatech Megahalems heatsink is compatible with Intel socket 775 and 1366 Core i7 processors, stands 159mm tall and weighs 790 grams.
Currently the Heatsinkfactory.com have the Megahalems heatsink for $60.
