Xigmatek's new Thor's Hammer (S126384) heatsink is based on the exposed heatpipe base format, but as Frostytech reported last June from Computex it has stacked heatpipes. The innovative fin structure of the 500gram Thor's Hammer allows it to be used in passive cooling situations (according to the manufacturer), and supports Intel 1366 Core i7 and socket 775, and AMD socket 939/AM2 CPUs.
The prototype heatsink Frostytech saw at Computex has been updated with a new fins, a 120mm fan, dark nickel plating and is equipped with anti-vibration rubber fan posts. The heatpipes are arranged in two rows, the bottom layer is four 8mm diameter pipes, the upper layer three 6mm diameter heat-pipes.
