"Aopen Inc. are relatively new to the Athlon platform and unfortunately this showed in their AK72 Slot A mainboard. Unlike rival companies such as MSI and Asus, Aopen opted not to start their Athlon series of boards with AMD's own 751 IronGate chipset, but rather with the more mature VIA KX133 chipset. Aopen's experience with the Athlon platform certainly has taken a route in the right direction with later releases of their initial mainboard offering, resolving many a issue that plagued their AK72."
