ZEROtherm's Creative Design Challenge ENDS - FrostyTech.com ZEROtherm's Creative Design Challenge ENDS
Fri Aug 22, 2008 | 4:08A| PermaLink
Today Industry leading thermal solution provider ZEROtherm® validates its core belief that enthusiasts, when given the opportunity and motivation, are capable of ushering in a new era in cooling innovation that blends aesthetics and real world performance. Through the course of the last month ZEROtherm engineers and contest judges comprised of international industry reviewers such as Thomas Berg and Chris Ramseyer, Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology Professor, Nam Ki Young (Ph.D) and the CEO of ZEROtherm, sifted through a surprisingly large collection of brilliant concept design submissions seeking to assist the community in developing the next evolutionary step in cooling that was waiting to be found. The entries spanned the globe and represented a broad spectrum of worldwide creative talent, increasing the effective difficulty of selecting the winners. After a month of exercises in calculations of feasibility, aesthetic appeal considerations, and real world production obstacles, the highly qualified team of judges has come to their selection. It was not an easy selection to arrive at as the majority of the submission were of good merit and those removed from consideration were only done so because of the high standards of the ZEROtherm engineering processes. Those elite designs that captured the collective enthusiasm of the judges were outstanding in all of the judging criteria. Their designs were unique and innovative. The winners design concepts lend themselves to a reasonable manufacturing process and afford technological advances in performance and noise reduction while remaining aesthetically pleasing. There was one design however that proved so intriguing that ZEROtherm experts and judges feel it could be adopted into is industry award winning product family. Mr. Park Sung Guk's "Snow on the branches" design proved astounding in every respect and warranted full production as well as the $3,000 award for first place. The runner-up , Cesare Pedrini delivered a very impressive concept that will also find its way into production in the near future and earned Cesare bragging rights as well as $1,000! Third place is shared by three brilliant designers who found themselves and their designs fall just short amidst a very stern competition, but whose products are exceptional and will surely find their way onto the world's fastest processors. to help nurse their wounds they will have to pass the time playing their new Nintendo Wii's compliments of ZEROtherm! ZEROtherm would like to extend an heartfelt and enthusiastic thank you to all of those who took the time to share their creative dreams. To show ZEROtherm's appreciation, all of those designers whose concepts made it past the initial judging process will receive a free award-winning cooler! Those who will receive this gift will be notified via e-mail shortly. Once again ZEROtherm is proud to partner with the enthusiast community to meet and exceed expectations for cooling innovation!
