"In case you haven't heard, ZapMe, providers of "free" PCs and Internet access for schools, has announced that they're withdrawing from that particular business model in the education market and requiring recipients of their "free" PCs to lease, buy or give back the equipment. There has never been a better time for Apple to bite the bullet and come riding in on a white horse to save the day. With Apple currently struggling to clear overstock inventories of several models of computers and having already forecast lower earnings and a net loss for the quarter, the company really doesn't have much to lose at this point."
