Overall, the Creative Sound Blaster Platinum 5.1 is worth the investment, especially if you are an audio enthusiast or PC musician. It performs as expected, giving you a variety of features such as EAX, a Live! Drive with additional ports and remote controller, Dolby Digital encoding and superb software titles
You may already have a sound card and are happy with it but if you have plans to upgrade your soundcard (and the price point is just right for a bundle and features like this one), the Creative Sound Blaster Live! Platinum 5.1 may just be the perfect choice for upgrading you PC's audio subsystem
