So, how excited can you get about a motherboard when you read the specs? To my surprise, very excited indeed. (In a geek sort of way, OK? Jeez, you people.) Since I've been working with and reviewing AMD processors, the only boards that have been sent our way for review have been based around VIA's ever-present chipsets. With the introduction of DDR (Double Data Rate) memory support for the Athlon processor, there is a new opportunity for other chipset makers to get in on the game, with AMD's engineering guidance.
