Gigabyte's new P4 mobo, the GA-8TX - Gigabyte's new P4 mobo, the GA-8TX
Wed Jan 10, 2001 | 7:07P| PermaLink
Founded in 1986, Gigabyte has enjoyed a large presence in the OEM markets and is starting to become more commonplace at local retailers as well. Being around for 15 years makes them a veteran in this industry and gives them plenty of know how to work with CPU makers like Intel and AMD to get their boards built within spec with regards to performance and features. With AMD heating up the CPU market and putting the pressure on Intel's recently released Pentium 4 processor, it has become even more urgent for Intel to make sure that motherboard companies are on the ball by releasing P4 board as soon as possible to the market. One of the companies that were up to the task is Gigabyte, and their newly released GA-8TX PGA Socket 423 P4 motherboard.
