Before setting up BlueSmoke, I had previously conducted several informal reviews of hard disk drives, mainly intended for friends and acquaintances. Here's an example. No methodologies, not even the testbed was constant as I was using my own ever-changing workstation, hence the term "informal reviews". I didn't know better at the time.
