Before Linksys offered their EtherFast 4-port Cable/DSL router (BEFSR41) about a year ago at around S$400, connecting multiple computers to one Internet account was very expensive and limited in functions. Strict peer-to-peer sharing of broadband Internet network connections may be easy, but it is fraught with configuration pit-falls and limitations concerning security. Add to this the fact that printers sharing and analog modem sharing configuration and implementation issues frustrate most home-users or inexperienced network DIY-selfers and you can see why an all-in-one solution would be a good choice.
