This card is spotted in various outlets and it's selling at from SGD20 to SGD30. Well, This particular card is a 2-channel audio card. It comes in a anti-static bag and a support CD-ROM which looks unprofessional.
I took a look at the drivers Directory and discovered it's actually the drivers from C-Media, the same drivers that are similar to the ones found on Iwill KK266R. I installed it and it worked. It showed Yamaha Legacy Audio Device on device manager in Windows 98. When I took a look at the manufacturer, it says C-MEDIA! (See screen shots below)
Well, when did C-media becomes part of Yamaha?? I investigate further by downloading 724 drivers from Yamaha website, deleted the fake Yamaha drivers and install it, it was unable to drive the card at all.! That proves that this card is indeed a fake!! So guys, beware when you see any cheap Yamaha cards, it might just be another remarked ! BEWARE! the 4 Channel or 6 channels might also be using remarked Yamaha chip.
