Sometimes all you want is a pretty face, which is why I plan on keeping the NewQ. Really, that's all it is. If you are using an el cheapo sound card, you can spend your $79 dollars on a very nice card that will do more for your audio enjoyment than the NewQ will. If all you want are front ports and a volume control, you can either make your own, or pick up the much cheaper Front X - or if you search, you can sometimes find a Live! Drive for a decent price as well. Heck, you find keyboards with volume controls and headphone jacks. If you like pretty sparkles and are fond of gazing into oncoming headlights, then maybe the NewQ is worth it.
