Firstly, it is important to realise that two components comprise the vast
majority of a graphics card's cost - the memory and the core chip. Only one
of these is manufactured and sold by nVidia, and thus produces a profit for
them with every card sold - that's the GPU, by far the less expensive of the
two when we're talking about cards with 64Mb of the fastest DDR RAM
available. Thus it's the OEMs - Guillemot (Hercules), Elsa, Creative,
Leadtek etc. - that receive the bulk of the revenue.
