"The thermistor also will cut off power to the motherboard if the CPU
temperature gets to high. Unfortunately, the thermistor is situated off
center from the die giving less-than-accurate results. I noticed a distinct
difference in the readout of my Senfu digital thermistor and the installed
thermistor, showing a difference of up-to 5 degrees. 5 degrees may not sound
bad, but that could easily be the difference between a saved T-Bird and a new
[H]ard|Keychain. So, use it with caution."
