Intel's Foster processor will official be dubbed "Intel XEON". Thats it, just "XEON", no "4". The processor wasn't explained in depth, but by the look of things it is simply a P4 with support for integrated L3 cache. Its questionable whether the vaunted "Jackson" SMT technology will be included in the initial iteration, or even the L3 cache. If so, Intel XEON won't make very much sense in the server market, as the P4's core is traditionally bad at integer-type applications.
