Anyway Chaintech have been around since1986! They're not that well know in Australia which is strange for a company of this age. But here at Legion Hardware we're going to change all this, that is if the card performs so we can competent it! Being a GeForce2 Pro based card I was interested to see how it performed when compared to other Pro cards like the recently reviewed X-Micro Impact 4 Pro. Chaintech have codenamed their Pro card AGP-R193 that is a member of the Desperado family. The Desperado R193 reminds me of the Impact 4 Pro because the two are very similar. Both cards obviously feature the nVIDIA GeForce2 Pro Chipset and they both have TV out. As usual the box features some cool eye candy and card specs. Both the Desperado R193 and Impact 4 Pro are packed with the same box features, which isn't all that much. Just the standard driver CD, universal GeForce2 manual, and that's about it. The reason for this is both Chaintech and X-Micro are known for there dedication to the lowest market prices.
