In the process, we examined more than 15 processors from half a dozen family groups on six different test platforms, and took a stream of power measurements that kept our heads spinning for a couple of weeks. We have some answers. They comprise a snapshot of the fast-changing processor scene, taken from a particular angle, at this particular point in time.
