Sure there were some fireworks when this technology came out, but when it actually got into the users hands we all knew about the KT133A and that gave us something new to drool over. We even shoved DDR under the carpet after Anandtech came out with an article showing that the KT133A performed almost as well as a DDR motherboard, really putting into question how well early DDR memory performs. Can you all remember back to EDO ram and when SDRAM first came out? SDRAM offered something like a 3% performance increase, while whimpy at the time, SDRAM matured over the months and now EDO is history. Well we can't just shove DDR under the rug now, we must give it time to mature, it is after all a new technology and with new technology comes a few bugs that will need to be straightened out.
