"DOH!! So much for quick and dirty. There was no wire at all, just a PCB with enough hot glue on it to make it impossible to get the board out of the box to mess with it. I was an electronics tech in the Navy, and know how to
solder fairly well so I figured I'd go for it anyway. I followed the jack points to the back of the board. Here we see the jack pins for the speakers (orange) , the other end of the traces (yellow) and the common rail (blue).
I needed to connect to the terminals and then cut the traces in between the points, not too tough."
