Kingmax Technology was founded in 1989 and is listed among Taiwan's Top 200 manufacturers (Commonwealth Magazine, May 2000), and is a leading manufacturer of memory modules. Aside from the Taiwan-based manufacturing facilities, Kingmax maintains nine sales offices spread over four continents. The company's American, Chinese, Australian and Dutch workforce consists of over 390 employees, including our good mate Ken from Kingmax Australia. Kingmax were the first memory manufacturer to introduce us to TinyBGA memory modules. TinyBGA is a process Kingmax have elected to use over standard T-soc memory chips. The major benefits of TinyBGA is the DIMM modules height is dramatically reduced, Kingmax's own PC150 SDRAM modules just on 1 inch high. Another good advantage of the TinyBGA is that it requires less energy then standard T-sot memory modules. Rather than using 3.3v the TinyBGA can and does run on around 3.0v. This comes in handy with Laptop computers when energy has to be used efficiently.
