TweakTown have posted and uploaded a new and exclusive BIOS and IDE Driver for the VIA KT266 Chipset which was sent to them by a very relaible source at VIA Australia. As you are probably aware, motherboards featuring the Apollo KT266 have not been performing up to their full performance potential up to now. VIA engineers have made it their no. 1 priority to correct this. Yesterday they released a beta BIOS and IDE driver that enhances the Apollo KT266 performance. These drivers are by no means final so we can probably expect the engineers to squeeze even more out of the chipset in the coming weeks. TweakTown have mirrored these new drivers and the URL's to them can be found on TweakTown's frontpage, use them at your own risk.
