"The ALi Magik 1 chipset was the second chipset released to support DDR technology, but the first to be mass produced and readily available. AMD, although they claim that chipsets our not their kind of thing, was forced to
release their own AMD 760 DDR chipset because there just weren't enough out there to get the whole DDR thing rolling. The Northbridge ( M1647 ) is seen below:"
