There is still no RAW TIFF compression level but we're satisfied with the FINE level so far. Its standard focus range is still not the best (Nikon Coolpix's 12 inches to infinity is hard to beat). Yet where it excels in, compared to the competition is in its lightweight design (258g compared to Nikon's 375g and Canon PowerShot G1's 420g) and slim, sophisticated dimensions. It comes with an excellent suite of software, great support and Internet-based services, and a price to beat (S$1,499 compared to Nikon's S$1,788 and the G1's S$1,599 -- prices are indicative of HWZ Awards 2000).
