"In the last few years there has been a rapid development in the power of PC's. As CPU's increase in Mhz's and HDD's spin at higher and higher RPM's one side effect has been the same - Heat.... Thankfully a company known as Macpower realised these issues and developed a product specifically targeted at solving them. The product was known as the DigitalDoc and was essentially a glorified Baybus. The DigitalDoc provides for realtime monitoring of system temperatures via probes and powers up to eight fans. Not only this, but the DigitalDoc provides a warning system should any abnormalities occur. These range from fan failures to excessively high temperature readings. It wasn't until the DigitalDoc2 and 3 that Macpower started to gain publicity with the original DigitalDoc being only a dim memory now."
