"The vandal resistant products are, like the denomination intent, vandal proof. Those are the kind of switch you would use for outdoor uses without being scared of vandalism on it. Its cold proof, weatherproof and everything. I myself didn't test those feature, but let's put it on that way, metallic switch have a huge advantage for modders: they look good. The switches are close to 2cm wide (18,5 mm) and fit in a hole a little smaller, around 13mm (M16 x 1-6g THD). The non-illuminated one have 2 electrodes for the switch, while the illuminated one have an extra 2 for the led. Mine was a nice green led, but they are available in both green and red. The location of those switches needs to be deep ennough: 18 mm for the plain one, 28mm for the led version."
