Also mounted on this rail are the card guards. The what? Well.. these little springloaded rubber things that stop your cards from, say, leaping out and throttling passers-by at a LAN party. Their entire presence is questionable to say the least - I guess they're to stop your cards from working loose over time (something I've never observed for correctly-installed components - and my PC's get around by motorcycle) or popping out if you drop or bang your case - but I think any jolt violent enough to make cards pop physically from their slots would probably do serious damage to the frame of this aluminium case. Maybe that's why they're there, to add structural strength because of the somewhat flimsy nature of aluminium.
