Overclocking - a word that has driven computers to the limit; often resulting in either a performance boost or a burnt charcoaled lump of silicon. Overclocking is being used more by users across the world everyday - hoping to get the most bang for their buck.
To counter this, Intel started to create 'locked' chipsets, making the overclocking impossible. Not only could users max out a PC for the same price, but retailers would sell overclocked computers at a higher price, thus jipping the customers and raking in more profits.
