The Kyro2 Graphic chips (PMX family) are part of the PowerVR Series 3 chip family. Series 3 includes chips used by Sega in its Arcade machines (ARX family). The Series 2 chips include the CLX family which is used in the Dreamcast console. The tile based technolgy in the PowerVR chips (Kyro2 graphic chips) were pioneered by Imagination Technologies. This technology was licensed by STMicroelectronics to produce the Kyro2 chips though STM does not develop or market the chips. My Joytech Kyro2 4500 is manufactured by Million Link International Limited of Hong Kong and distibuted by Joytech / Visual Magic of Taiwan.
