In conclusion, the Hewlett-Packard ScanJet 7450C is a good high-resolution scanner overall. Though it is rather noisy (it emits a low chainsaw-buzzing noise during certain resolution scans), and cumbersome-looking for today's aesthetic desktop space, it has impressive features, including 10 - 2,000 percent scaling (in 1 percent increments), film adapter unit and automatic document feeder. Unlike the HP ScanJet 7400C, which does not come with the ADF, or the ScanJet 7490C, which is more expensive with the inclusion of a SCSI kit and image stitching software (the 7490C may not be available in Singapore as yet), the 7450C finds a perfect balance in the 7400 series to fit nicely in the office environment.
