8500 from ATI

"When I was approached by ATI to review the Radeon 8500, I was a staunch Nvidia advocate. (NVidiot, as we are affectionately called) I would get into heated discussions within the various news groups/forums about the ATI/Nvidia rivalry. Of course I was basing my arguments on ATI's past performance/driver support and, at the time, Nvidia's 1-2-3 combo of the GeForce 3, Ti200, Ti500. ATI is getting the hang of the driver issue, and with little searching, you can even find 'leaked beta's. The rivalry brewing between ATI & Nvidia is comparable to the AMD/Intel donnybrook. ATI is offering amazing performance for a fraction of the cost of the top competitor, and we (the end users) are in a win/win situation.
