For someone with a small office or home/office, the appeal of multifunctioning print devices is strong. Usually budgets as well as space are both at a premium. An "All-In-One" solution often saves you in both departments, sometimes with not-too-many sacrifices along the way for the average user. Certainly a seperate Fax Machine, a seperate printer, a seperate scanner, and a seperate dedicated copier are going to cost considerably more, and take up lots more space. There are valid reason of both functionality and speed to consider going the seperate component route, but for many the All-In-One Multifunction devices are more than good enough for daily tasks.
