The SW-212 is Samsungs 12x IDE CD-RW. IDE CD-Rs and CDRWs have come a long way since they were first introduced about 4 years ago. When they first came out they were known to make a lot of coasters due to buffer under run errors. SCSI burners were much more reliable, and had a much lower chance of making a coaster. Things have changed a lot since then. Largely due to better software and bigger cache's. Just today I noticed a 20x10x 40zIDE CD-RW. I am not certain but I don't believe there is currently a SCSI burner as high as 20x.
